There was a fatal crash in Northern Tehama County Saturday afternoon. Just after 3 O’clock a man was driving alone in a 2024 Nissan sedan, taking the onramp to Southbound Interstate 5 from Hooker Creek Road. For an unknown reason, he veered to the right, left the pavement, and collided with a tree. He was declared dead at the scene. The CHP says alcohol is not suspected. The onramp was closed for about 2-and-a-half hours.
