The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office was alarmed Tuesday to learn that an unknown party had been circulating a social media post calling for a press conference at the Sheriff’s Headquarters on Park Marina Circle. The post was entitled “Patriots are Organizing” and referenced Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis. It also called for the Sheriff to sequester supposedly illegitimate ballots locked in the Elections Office, and mentioned threats to burn it down. Sheriff Michael Johnson says he’s heard that the FBI has gotten involved in the ballot issue, and he’s staying out of it for now. About 15 people gathered in front of the Sheriff’s Office building with signs demanding the Sheriff take action.
