At around 4:35AM Thursday morning, fire crews responded for a fully involved motor home fire with spread to vegetation on Northbound Interstate 5 just north of Lakehead. Smoke was causing a visibility hazard for other drivers. The RV had apparently been there for a week before Thursday morning’s fire, which burned it to the ground. The spread burned about an acre of trees and brush. Firefighters said mop-up would likely take about 4 hours.
