The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is reminding California concealed carry permit holders of a new renewal requirement taking effect Tuesday, September 1st. Renewal applications submitted on or after September 1st will require live scan fingerprints and come with an additional 25-Dollar fee. Applicants can apply before completing the required eight-hour renewal class, but the class must be completed before a renewed permit is issued.
