Redding’s Stillwater Business Park, once called a boondoggle by some people, has become so successful that it’s expanding. The shovel-ready business park was built by the City of Redding just before the economic downturn of 2008 and for years it was a money loser. eventually major tenants began moving in, including Frito Lay, Pace Engineering and Amazon. Now the city has been awarded a $7.9 Million U.S. Economic Development Administration grant to extend Venture Parkway from parcel 12 to parcel 16 to open up more parcels for future development. The city will put the project out to bid and hopes to break ground by next Summer.
