U.C.L.A. Voting Rights Project Urges The Removal Of Shasta County Registrar Of Voters

The Shasta County Grand Jury is being strongly encouraged to begin the process to remove Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis from office. The U.C.L.A. Voting Rights Project says it’s the Grand Jury’s duty to report “willful or corrupt misconduct in office. A case could then be presented to the District Attorney’s Office. Gubernatorial Candidate Xavier Becerra is the project’s senior legal advisor. The group says it’s likely Curtis has committed crimes, and points out that he’s alleging counterfeit ballots were used in the primary election, but it was he who oversaw and certified that election.
