Clint Curtis No Longer Has To Appear Before Grand Jury After FBI Visit

Shasta County Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis is apparently saying that he no longer has to appear for a Federal Grand Jury in Sacramento. Last week, a subpoena said Curtis must appear in court in Sacramento September 24th and submit materials from the June Primary Election, including Tens of Thousands of ballots. Among them will apparently be ballots that Curtis has alleged may be counterfeit. Curtis said he’d rather the huge volume of materials be transported to Sacramento by the FBI or other federal officials, but that may conflict with a recently enacted state law that prohibits ballots leaving the custody of county elections officials. On Thursday Curtis said he no longer needs to respond to the subpoena after a visit by the FBI and Federal Department of Justice. Curtis has provided no details about the change in legal status.
