The California Department of Veterans Affairs wants the families of those buried at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo to know that their dearly departed were not disturbed by wild pigs that managed to get onto the grounds. The pigs dug under the perimeter fence to gain entry and did a lot of damage as they rooted and dug at the ground, but none of them went nearly deep enough to reach any buried remains. A heavy rock barrier has been installed along the base of the fence to prevent re-entry by the wild pigs, and it seems to be working.
