A minor decoy alcohol sting was conducted by Redding Police on Friday. It was a “Shoulder Tap” operation, which targets customers outside liquor and convenience stores. The underage decoy asked people if they would buy alcohol with the decoy’s money, telling them it was because of age. The penalty is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours community service. Twelve people were contacted by the decoy and two agreed to make the purchase, one of whom was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
