A CHP Motorcycle Officer was injured while responding to a crash Tuesday night on Lake Boulevard just off Interstate 5. The motorcycle crash was apparently unrelated to the other crash. The officer was transported by ambulance and there’s no information publicly available. He was reportedly responding to a near-head-on crash between a Subaru Legacy and a van just after 5:30PM. One of the drivers was held at gunpoint by the CHP, according to passing witnesses, but he and the other driver were both transported by ambulance. The Interstate 5 northbound offramp to Highway 299 was closed for a while due to the incident.
