The Shasta County Board of Supervisors canceled their special meeting that was set for Monday afternoon. It was apparently to discuss a threat of litigation from a refusal to release a copy of the federal subpoena of Clint Curtis in response to a public records request from Shasta Scout. The subpoena may shed light on a federal investigation into June’s local primary election. Curtis has suggested that some ballots were counterfeit, but he managed and certified the election. Board Chair Chris Kelstrom did not state a reason for the meeting cancellation.
