The Redding Chamber of Commerce has issued endorsements for Redding City Council. There are nine candidates for three seats on the five member council. Only two of the participating candidates scored well enough to earn endorsements. They are civil engineer Russ Wenham and business owner Christina Prosperi. The chamber liked their suggestions. Wenham wants to reign in labor costs through salary freezes and furloughs. Prosperi wants public safety to focus on prevention through code enforcement and youth programs.
