Someone crashed into an apartment building on Lake Boulevard and caused heavy damage. About 2 O’clock Wednedsay afternoon a 56-year-old man was driving on Oasis Road and apparently had a medical emergency. His Hyundai SUV barreled straight through the intersection and into the apartments, smashing through three separate units. Two of the apartments were occupied. One resident and the driver were taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries. Redding Police said the driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol. The Building Department inspected and declared the building unsafe for occupancy.
