A 64-year-old Shasta County man was arraigned last week on seven counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14 with special allegations of sexual assault over several years. Richard Alan Thompson pled not guilty and his bail was set a Half Million Dollars. His preliminary hearing is this Thursday.
