A 44-year-old man has been sentenced for the continuous sexual abuse of a child. Ruben Franco-Gonzalez was arrested by Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives in April and charged with several counts of forcible abuse of a child under the age of 14. He pled no contest to a single count and was sentenced last Thursday to 12 years in state prison. He also must register as a sex offender.
