A report that was highly critical of Tehama County Sheriff Dave Kain has been met with adamant denial. In a statement released Thursday Kain says the independent investigator hired by the Board of Supervisors failed to contact any of the 25 witnesses he recommended, which he says could have contradicted the allegations. The Sheriff is urging another independent investigation that treats him more fairly.
