A Weaverville man already in custody was charged with additional arson counts last week. 20-year-old Logan Corbett-Hanger had been charged with starting a fire on July 15th in the Weaver Bally area of Weaverville that quickly burned about 5 acres and prompted evacuations. He apparently said he had been burning trash and it got out of his control. He’s also been charged for two fires in the Junction City area, one of which burned a large picnic table and the other burned two benches. Corbett-Hanger faces multiple felony counts.
A Cal-Fire crew extinguished a quarter acre vegetation fire off Highway 99W and Christian Road in South Corning Monday.
