Thousands Of PG&E Customers Warned Of Possible PSPS Event On Wednesday

Dry winds from the north may prompt PG&E to do a widespread Public Safety Power Shutoff Wednesday for some areas of Shasta and Tehama Counties. A total of about 8,000 customers in 7 counties would be affected, mostly on the west side of the valley. 3,812 of those would be in Shasta County and 3,249 in Tehama County. The outage would start at around 3AM Wednesday, and the affected customers are being notified individually.
