Group Reports Gathering Over 5,000 Signatures To Recall Kevin Crye

A group that wants to launch a recall of Shasta County Supervisor Kevin Crye says they’ve gathered more than enough signatures to get the question on a ballot. At the end of April Shasta County Citizens for Stable Governance served Crye with a notice of intent, citing a series of decisions, including the canceling of the Dominion Voting Systems contract and Crye’’s county-funded trip to Minnesota to meet with “My Pillow” founder Mike Lindell. 4,151 signatures are needed to get the recall on a ballot and organizers say they’ve gathered more than 5,000. The Registrar’s Office will need to certify the petition to be sure the signatories are residents of District One. Last year when Leonard Moty was recalled, Tim Garmin took his place. Crye was elected to his position over Erin Resner with a difference of fewer than 100 votes, which is apparently why he’s being targeted instead of Patrick Jones or Chris Kelstrom, who tend to vote as a bloc with Crye.
