Man Charged With Murder After Alleged Road Rage Crash In Anderson

A man has been ordered to face charges in the death of a woman in Anderson during an apparent road rage incident. 31-year-old Andrew Millner was driving a pickup truck and allegedly chasing motorcyclist Dennis Mize on June 5th. The two had previously been arguing online about a woman Millner was dating and Millner later told police he was hunting for Mize because he wanted to beat him up for disrespecting him. He had apparently seen Mize earlier the morning of the crash and chased him around before losing him. When he saw him again near the Westwood Manor Circle K he started following him down Highway 273 but the pickup truck could not keep up with the much faster motorcycle Mize was riding. Millner apparently told police that Mize was taunting him by slowing down and gesturing and then speeding up to as much as 130 miles an hour. Both ran multiple stoplights on the way to Anderson before getting to Pinion Drive, where Millner ran the red light and broadsided a car. The driver, 61-year-old Susan Betty Young, died at the scene. Millner had a preliminary hearing last week. His charges include murder and driving under the influence of drugs with a prior DUI. He remains in jail on $1 Million bail and returns to court November 29th, when trial dates will likely be set.
