Man Committed To State Hospital After Judge Declares Him A Sexually Violent Predator

A 62-year-old Shasta County man might never go free after being declared a sexually violent predator. William Thomas Fogle was convicted in 2002 of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 and released from prison after 6 years. Then in 2014 Fogle got a 12 year sentence for annoying or molesting a child. The sentence was done last year but Fogle was declared a sexually violent predator by two doctors. The legal process for that declaration was completed by a Shasta County Judge Tuesday and Fogle will be committed to a state hospital for an indeterminate time.
