Mercy Medical Center Reports Surge Of COVID-19 & RSV Cases In Shasta County

Don’t expect a return to mask mandates yet, but do be careful, as Mercy Medical Center in Redding is reporting a surge in cases of COVID-19, RSV, and the Flu in the past couple of weeks, including infants and young children. Officials are saying this is normal this time of year, and cases should remain high through February, and then decrease in the Spring. The elderly, immune compromised, and children are especially at risk, and everyone is urged to stay up to date on immunizations.
