Yreka Police: Homeless Man Arrested After Causing 25K In Damage To 10 Businesses

A homeless man from Washington State is accused of going on a destructive rampage through the Yreka business district. Early Thursday morning Yreka Police on patrol discovered two businesses that had their large front windows broken. They then got a report of someone throwing a big rock through the front window of another business. Officers caught up to 42-year-old Jason Paollili and booked him into Siskiyou County Jail. An inspection of the downtown area revealed that at least ten different businesses had been vandalized, with the value of the damage estimated at more than $25,000. Police are trying to gather any surveillance footage available from South Main Street between Oberlin Road and Rose Lane.
