CHP: Drunk Driver Knocks Out Power To Hundreds Off Gillman Road Thursday

Redding Area CHP Officers arrested a man for DUI after he crashed into several power poles, breaking one of them, on Gilman Road. At 5:50PM Thursday the man’s Subaru Outback swerved off the roadway near Coal Creek Road. The CHP says it was because he had more than twice the legal blood alcohol level, despite claiming he had only drunk one Coors Light. The crash knocked out power to almost 400 PG&E customers.
