North State Celebrates Independence Day With Numerous Fireworks Displays

There’s no need to take the illegal risk of lighting fireworks. There are plenty of impressive fireworks displays in the area:
— Anderson Explodes Wednesday night at the fairgrounds. The celebration includes a concert and more than 30 vendors. Free admission. $5 parking.
— Redding’s Freedom Festival is Thursday. Thousands will crowd the Civic Auditorium lawn as the McConnell Foundation again funds one of the largest displays in the state, with over 1,700 shells.
— Red Bluff will also have a fireworks show on the 4th with the best viewing locations being at the City Park.
— Mount Shasta City will have fireworks over Lake Siskiyou on the 4th.
— Weaverville’s Independence Day celebration will include fireworks Friday night.
— Burney Basin Days starts Friday with fireworks Saturday night at the Burney High School football field.
