Anderson Man Arrested After Stealing Over $2,900 Of Merchandise From Red Bluff Walmart

A man robbed the Red Bluff Walmart of Thousands of Dollars worth of merchandise Thursday night, but he didn’t get away with it. At around 11 O’clock Red Bluff Police responded to the store after a report that the thief had run out an emergency exit with tablets, cameras and other electronics worth $2,971. A description was provided and a responding officer was on scene within two minutes. He spotted a man on foot matching the description, who saw him too and immediately started running. He was captured after a short foot chase. 36-year-old Robert Johnson of Anderson was booked into Tehama County Jail for felony theft.
