A stretch of Cypress Avenue in front of Redding City Hall became a sea of colorful free expression as thousands of people showed up for “No Kings Day”. There was a wide variety of grievances being expressed, including the aggressive use of ICE Agents and National Guard against civilian populations, the dismantling of public agencies and defunding of health care, demands to release the Epstein files, and many other issues. Varying estimates placed the attendance at between 1,500 and more than 3,000.
