A paramedic who was injured in a crash of a Redding-based medical helicopter in Sacramento has been discharged from the hospital. Margaret “Dede” Davis has entered inpatient rehabilitation. Pilot Chad Millward remains in intensive care, but his condition has stabilized. Flight Nurse Suzie Smith died of her injuries and her body was returned to Shasta County last week. On October 6th the REACH Air Medical Services helicopter from Redding had delivered a patient to U.C. Davis Medical Center and had just taken off to return to Redding when it crashed on Highway 50.
