A barn burned down Thursday night in Cottonwood. Located in the area of Shirley Street off Gas Point Road, the 4000 square foot structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived at around 8:30PM.
There was a vegetation fire northeast of Redding Thursday afternoon. Located off Boyle Road near Candy Cane Lane, the fire was apparently an escaped burn pile. It was held to about a half acre.
Redding Fire Department responded at around Noon Thursday to Palisades Avenue off Hilltop Drive for a fire threatening a home. Damage was contained to a fence and part of a carport.
