5 Inmates Treated After Overdosing At The Butte County Jail

Somebody booked into Butte County Jail Saturday smuggled in drugs and shared them with his fellow inmates. Correctional deputies were called to one of the cell blocks on a report of an unresponsive person. They began lifesaving efforts on the prisoner, and then found four others also suffering apparent Opioid overdoses. All were issued Narcan and transported to the hospital. After being treated they were all returned to jail.
