The Anderson City Council voted Tuesday night to censure one of their members. Susie Baugh is accused of misrepresenting herself as speaking for the city while trying to secure funding for a behavioral health facility. The youth treatment center was in line for a large state grant but failed to get approval for matching funds from the county before the deadline. The facility would have been located on land belonging to the Anderson Community Church, which is run by Susie and Les Baugh. The council voted 4 to 1 in favor of the censure. Meanwhile, the Baughs say they’ve filed legal action against Council Members Darin Hale and Mike Hallagher for derailing the project, mostly through a scare campaign on social media.
