Anderson Police say they found someone distilling his own booze. Officers patrolling on Brigman Street Wednesday night saw Christopher Peets and knew he was on felony probation but as they approached him he reportedly ran into a backyard and ignored commands to stop. A little later he was seen on another street and escorted to his home. A probation search was done and officers reported finding a Moonshine still in the garage. It was made from a metal tank and copper piping and it was actively cooking, with the liquor dripping into clear mason jars. Officers say an open flame posed a fire danger and they called the fire department. The still was dismantled and taken away. Peets was booked into jail.
