A registered sex offender has been arrested by Anderson Police because he was hanging around near a playground. Around 2 O’clock Sunday an officer saw 44-year-old Douglas Richard Collard of Shingletown at Anderson River Park. A records check showed him to be on active felony probation for failing to register. His terms prohibit him from being within 2,600 feet of a park. He also allegedly had Methamphetamine, which is a felony due to his sex offender status.
