Drivers should always elect to be sober, and additional motivation is provided by a checkpoint that will be set up somewhere in Anderson City Limits Tuesday night. Anderson Police will screen for impaired drivers and for valid drivers licenses at the checkpoint, which they say will take place starting at 6Pm. The exact location is not disclosed, but it’’ll be somewhere with a history of DUI collisions and arrests. Officers will be looking for signs of impairment from alcohol, as well as drugs. That includes illegal narcotics as well as legal drugs such as pharmaceuticals and cannabis.
