A vegetation fire was reported around 10:20AM Monday morning near Turtle Bay to the north of the Sundial Bridge near the loop trail. Access was difficult but Redding Firefighters got to it by way of the Sacramento River Trail and attacked it from two sides. A north wind pushed the head of the fire toward the Sundial Bridge and started several spot fires but it was contained within a half hour at around 5 acres. One person was arrested for carelessly causing the fire.
