A theme has been chosen by the Asphalt Cowboys for this year’s Redding Rodeo Week. “From Revolution To Rodeo; 250 Years Of Freedom” was submitted by Carol Harter, who incorporated America’s 250th birthday into the theme. The parade is May 16th in Downtown Redding, and it’s free to to enter. Businesses, groups, non-profits and schools are encouraged to get their entry forms at asphaltcowboys.org. The Redding Rodeo takes place the third week of May, and many events lead up to it, including the huge pancake breakfast in Downtown Redding. All the non-rodeo events are organized by the 40 members of the Asphalt Cowboys and their supporters. Tickets for the rodeo will be available at reddingrodeo.com.
