Fire officials in Siskiyou County are on alert after thunderstorms rolled through. Cal Fire says that over the past few days, 145 lightning strikes were recorded touching down in the county, including 41 in the Cal Fire protection area. The public is asked to report any signs of smoke or fire. Many reports of fires have been received from the eastern part of the county but so far they’ve been unfounded.
