A Red Bluff woman has been sentenced for assaulting the man she was supposed to be caring for. 44-year-old Dawn Michelle Keisner was the paid caregiver for a disabled man. He called 9-1-1 asking for help and a female voice could be heard screaming in the background. Officers arrived and found the victim sitting on a bench across the street from his house. He was bleeding from a would on his ear and said Keisner had hit him on the head with a mirror. When Keisner was contacted she had blood on her hand but denied the attack. Broken glass and blood were found in the kitchen, where the victim said the attack had occurred. Heisner has been sentenced to 3 years in state prison.
