A woman who was reported for a hit-and-run north of Redding was tracked down by the CHP Sunday. The crash happened on Northbound Interstate Five near Bridge Bay Road. A small Scion two-door sideswiped a big rig and then collided with the freeway median concrete barrier. The driver kept going, swerving across all the northbound lanes before continuing on. Multiple other drivers called 9-1-1. CHP Air Ops tracked down the car from above and officers on the ground intercepted it. The woman behind the wheel tested at 3 times the legal limit for blood alcohol level.
