CHP: Missing Woman Found Dead After Crashing Pickup Into The Trinity River

A woman from Southern Humboldt County who was missing after leaving on a trip to Redding has been recovered deceased from the Trinity River. Early on January 29th the Trinity CHP was told that 40-year-old Roxana Miller of Garberville was driving a maroon Toyota Tundra with a camper shell. Officers searched along Highway 299 that same day and spotted the camper shell, which had detached from the pickup, but the water in the river was too high and murky to find the pickup. On Tuesday conditions had improved enough to resume the search and the pickup was pulled out of the water. The body of Miller was found seatbelted inside.
