A car chase ended with a car on fire in Corning. Very early Wednesday morning CHP and Corning Police Officers chased a car that was going 100 miles an hour on Northbound Highway 99. The pursuit went through parts of Corning and had a collision with a Corning Police car before heading south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5. A pit maneuver was done to disable the car on the South Avenue I-5 onramp and it became engulfed in flames. The driver, a Washington state man, tried to run but was taken into custody.
