A car seat check-up event will be conducted by the CHP Wednesday at the Anderson River Park Kiddieland parking lot. Unrestrained children in car crashes have a much greater chance of injury or death than children who are properly strapped in. A federal study has shown that most parents of babies and toddlers believe they know how to install their child safety seats, but more than half of them are installed incorrectly. The CHP will check for proper installation at Anderson River Park from 9AM to 1PM Wednesday.
