A car seat check-up event will be conducted by the CHP on Saturday at Kohl’s Department Store in East Redding. Unrestrained children in car crashes have a much greater chance of injury or death than children who are properly strapped in. A federal study has shown that most parents of babies and toddlers believe they know how to install their child safety seats, but about half of them are installed incorrectly. The CHP will check for proper installation at Kohl’s on Browning Street from 9AM to 1PM Saturday.
