The City of Redding may be considering selling the Redding Civic Auditorium. During a closed session city council meeting Tuesday afternoon there’s an item on the agenda for property negotiations on the Civic Auditorium property. Being a closed session item, there are few details, but it says price and terms are under negotiation and the negotiating parties are City Manager William Tarbox and Advance Redding, the non-profit entity established by Bethel Church interests 14 years ago that has been managing the facility under a long-term lease.
There will also be negotiations for possibly selling the Redding Dragstrip property east of the Airport on old Oregon Trail to racing interests.
