“City Project” Tracks Crime Data With Online Map

Anyone who may be wondering how crime-ridden their neighborhood has become can see an unofficial tally of crime incidents on an interactive online map. “City Protect” tracks police calls for service and arrests in many cities nationwide, including Redding and Anderson. It can be accessed at cityprotect.com/map/list/agencies and then just zoom in on a city. Each incident shows its location and an icon indicates the type of incident. Clicking on it will bring up a date and time, as well as a case number that can be researched through the county’s court case information portal.
