As the Federal Government shutdown drags on and many North State residents have lost their food and other assistance, the Community Foundation of the North State is stepping up with new critical response funds specifically for Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties. Money is being raised to award grants to local nonprofit and public entities that provide direct assistance to help households keep food on the table and keep the lights on. Donations can be made to specific funds at cfnorthstate.org.
