A Corning man briefly tried to outrun an officer from a traffic stop, according to Corning Police. At 10:20AM Sunday an officer tried to stop a car with expired registration on Toomes Avenue. A pursuit at over 85 miles an hour lasted about two miles. 40-year-old Cristo Angel Duarte Luna had a suspended license and 2 misdemeanor warrants. He was booked into jail for evading and resisting.
