Shasta County Supervisors had a discussion Tuesday concerning whether appointed Elections Chief Clint Curtis violated state law or county government policy. Curtis had hosted a tour, on county time, of the Elections Office during which he leveled criminal accusations against former Assistant Registrar Joanna Francescut. County Counsel Patrick Larmour found Curtis not to be in criminal violation because Larmour believed it can be considered an incidental comment during what was otherwise a legitimate tour of a public facility.
