Courtroom & Judge Shortage Delays Murder Trial

Proceedings in another murder trial have been delayed due to a shortage of courtrooms and judges. Trial dates were supposed to be set Wednesday for 35-year-old Robert Parker Milton, who is accused of using a cinder block and a gun to kill 71-year-old William Alan Dressler on Brent Road in the Wilshire Drive Neighborhood west of Bechelli on August 29th of 2024. Milton is charged with first degree murder. Soon after his arrest, Milton’s attorney raised doubts about his mental competency and after a psychological assessment the court agreed and sent him for treatment at Napa State Hospital. He returned last July and entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. He’s set to return to court February 4th.
