There was a house fire in West Redding. It was a 2-story house on Placer Street near Cumberland. Redding Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 4 O’clock Wednesday and they arrived to find smoke coming from the second floor. Damage left the home uninhabitable. The Red Cross was contacted to assist in finding accommodations for the residents.
An outbuilding was destroyed by fire that spread to a small amount of vegetation on Fox Drive off Happy Valley Road.
About a Quarter Acre of timber burned Wednesday off Hagen Flat and Ready Camp Roads near Montgomery Creek.
Evacuation warnings were prompted by a fire that burned a Quarter Acre of vegetation behind the Hayfork Post Office. The fire was declared extinguished before a spot fire flared on the other side of Hayfork Creek.
